They didn't care what people said thats why they wore peace things. People decided the best way to go aigainst establishment

is to change fashion. Long hair for boys was illegal, so they had long hair. They wore clothes that people different want them to wear. It was a fashion rebellion against establishment. African Americans started to go all natural. They had big afros. They wore coltural clothes (Nigerian.) Big afros = I'm black & proud don't mess with me. People could tell drugs by clothing.
