Yeah, okay, so maybe I live in a trailer and haven't filed taxes in 10 or 20 years. But even I know this date means ulcers to all you long form 1040 bigshots: only a few leafs left in that tearaway desk calendar, and you suddenly realize you haven't fully leveraged your itemized deductions. Then you're in mad scramble to remember a worthy cause, and in the confusion you decide to dash off a fat check to your alma mater because they squeaked out a win in the Miracle Glue Tomato Bowl, and then later you find out that instead of thoughtful football recruiting bribes your stupid college blew your entire donation on the pastry cart for a Michael Moore campus lecture.
Rejoice, brother, your annual December 31 giving anxieties are a thing of the past. The core of the PFV program is a ginchy 1940's-style cheesecake calendar featuring Gina in a variety of provocatively work-safe poses, surrounded by some neato vintage iron. Holy Gil Elvgren! You can purchase a calendar online at the above link (for the ridiculously low price of 20 clams) and direct it to an injured vet or an active duty soldier along with a personalized greeting. Gina will hand-deliver your purchase directly to hospitalized vets, or mail them to deployed soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But why stop there? Order an extra copy for yourself! Donations are tax deductible, and proceeds from the program bring in needed funds to Veterans Hospital Programs and encourages people to volunteer at their local Veterans Hospital. And next December, instead of that boring desk calendar, your annual charity giving reminder will come with a lovely photo of a real patriotic gal.
